About Me
I’m a Salt Lake City–based writer and environmental advocate. I was raised in the Ozarks, and my upbringing instilled in me a deep appreciation for wild places, which has transformed into a sense of responsibility to protect our planet. That responsibility drives my volunteer work, professional career, and personal writing projects.
Professionally, I’m a Content & SEO Specialist, while freelancing and writing for local publications on the side. I volunteer with local organizations and nonprofits dedicated to protecting our fragile ecosystems and creating a more equitable outdoors.
As an essayist and self-proclaimed tree hugger, I believe environmental writing and grassroots advocacy can change people’s minds in ways statistics alone cannot. My work is rooted in a desire to blend conservation with craft. I love exploring natural places and translating those experiences into essays that blend my lived experience with the goings on of the world around me. My goal is to help my neighbors care more about their communities and public lands, while developing a deeper understanding of the human condition.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the local canyons, spending time with my family, reading literary fiction, and travelling to the coast.
